instructions for annual deep cleaning

Every 12-18 months we send our machine in for a “deep cleaning.” This is essentially the “oil change” for your machine, it will ensure it lasts a very long time. Deep cleanings are $40 for the original machine owner. In order to submit a deep cleaning or other service request, fill out the form on the link found below and you will recieve an email with a shipping label, put it on the box with the machine when ready to ship. Next, carefully follow the steps below to ship your machine to your branch office. Or, if you live local to an Enagic branch office, you can take your machine in person to get cleaned. (Not sure if you live close to a branch? Check out the US offices located here: ENAGIC CONTACT INFO.)

Before shipping your machine for deep cleaning/service repairs, follow these steps:

  1. REMOVE the electrolysis solution tank (from the side [SD501] or under [K8] your machine). Enhancer damage occurs in the machine when you leave the electrolysis enhancer fluids inside of the tank, inside of the machine and move the machine around or travel with it. If mishandled, the fluids will leak inside of the machine and cause damage to the inside. *This is not covered under warranty*

  2. Remove any faucet diverters and adapters, but keep hoses connected to the machine.

  3. Hold the machine up with hoses inside the sink to drain the machine and prevent water leakage, and then wrap up the end of the hoses with a rag or paper towels before placing it inside the original Kangen box.

  4. Ideally, use original Kangen box with styrofoam cushion under and over machine to ensure protection during shipping. If you threw away your original box, you can buy another cardboard box & cushion to to ship it in. Just make sure it's at least 2 inches of cushioning around the whole machine to ensure protection during shipping).

  5. Tape the box shut & add the shipping label that was emailed to you to the outside of the box.

  6. Take the machine to the nearest FedEx to ship, shipping is $23 each way. Keep tracking # on hand.

PS: Depending on your region’s office, the machine will be shipped back to you between 7-14 days later. If you have any questions, go to Enagic’s live chat service via Enagic.com.

Changing Your Machines Filter

Every 6-12 months we change the machine's internal filter, depending on water usage. The machine will notify you when it’s time to change its filter after 1,500 gallons of usage. Please make sure you ONLY USE Enagic's provided filters supplied directly from their website. If you have a pre-filter as well, you can change it every 12-18 months whenever you send your machine in for deep cleaning. Replacement filters are $120 and are often on sale. Keep an Eye out for sales throughout the year.

Which Is The Correct Filter For My Machine?

  • K8: F8 Filter

  • SD501, PLATINUM & JRIV: HG-N Filter
